Conflict of Interest Policy
The ILN Journal: Indian Literary Narratives is committed to maintaining transparency and integrity in scholarly publishing. A conflict of interest (COI) exists when personal, financial, professional, political, or religious interests may influence the editorial judgment, peer review, or the research.
All participants in the publication process, including authors and reviewers, are required to disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest that could affect the objectivity or credibility of the work.
Authors
Authors must disclose all potential conflicts of interest at the time of submission. These include financial interests (such as funding, employment, grants, patents, or sponsorships) and non-financial interests (such as personal relationships, academic competition, institutional affiliations, political or religious beliefs).
All disclosures must be submitted at the time of manuscript submission, through the designated URL, when prompted. Any conflict discovered after publication must be promptly reported, and appropriate corrections will be issued. All co-authors are responsible for providing relevant disclosures to the corresponding author.
Editors and Reviewers
Editors and Editorial Board members must disclose any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from editorial decisions when their objectivity may be compromised. Manuscripts submitted by individuals with close personal, professional, or institutional relationships with editors or Reviewers will be handled by an alternative editor to ensure impartiality. Any potential conflict identified during the review process must be immediately reported to the Managing Editor.
Editors are responsible for managing reviewer conflicts, ensuring appropriate disclosures, and publishing conflict-of-interest statements when required. Where no conflict exists, editors should publish a statement affirming the absence of conflicts.
Disclosure and Transparency
If a conflict of interest or information leak is identified at any stage prior to publication, a conflict-of-interest statement will be included in the published article. When necessary, supporting documentation may be published to allow readers to assess the impact of disclosed interests.
The journal takes all reasonable measures to identify, manage, and disclose conflicts of interest to uphold the highest ethical standards in academic publishing.
