This article attempts to read Khaled Hosseini’s fiction, The Kite Runner with the theoretical frame of Postcolonialism. The researcher aims to bring out the hybrid attitude of the characters that reflects the effects of colonialism on native subjects. Using Homi K. Bhabha’s concept, Hybridity, as a reading framework the researcher has analysed the process of cultural assimilation of the characters and their behavioural patterns as represented in the texts.
